Dealer - Nittany's Angels

Dealer was daddy's boy. He slept with me, though, every night (pushing Todd out of bed)! We went to pick up Ladybug in May of 2001. She was definitely an alpha. When we picked her up, I saw Dealer in his cage. He just laid there with his cage propping up his head. He didn't stand up or make a sound. He just looked at me with those big brown eyes! I couldn't resist. Todd wanted a female and we had made arrangements for Ladybug. (She was gorgeous too!) When we got Ladybug home, she seemed so depressed being away from the other dogs that it didn't take me long to talk Todd into getting another dog, namely, my Dealer. From the moment he came home, he was a joy. He was so friendly. Everyone loved him. If someone would sit on the couch, he jumped up and made himself at home by snuggling next to whoever it was and laying his head on their lap. When they started petting him, he would groan in joy. He was a food munger. How he loved to eat, especially his treats. Todd taught him to bark when he wanted his treats. Guess who he barked at, though. Yes, mommy. He learned fast that mommy would get up and get him whatever he wanted. There is a hole in our hearts and Ladybug's too. She loved to devil him by taking her food and treats and placing them on the floor close to him and then barking at him to let him know that it was hers, not his. Poor guy. They played that game everyday. She misses him terribly. We are so thankful to Nittany for allowing us to have 9 wonderful years with him. We saw Joe Skidel at Dewey last year. He sent us Dealer's racing muzzle. We really appreaciated that. We miss him very much. This is a picture that we took at Dewey last year. Just shows how cute the boy was!
